Just sharing my honest opinion and fears, just like we do amongst each other in the flight deck. I am not as financially established as some of you and thus am a bit more concerned.

I feel like if I talked to you in the flight deck it would mostly be about SOAR.

AA offers blank lines pretty frequently. If you're talking about the same thing, I wouldn't be overly concerned. They can't staff the airline perfectly every single month. It ebbs and flows.

Lol, I think you mean I’ll SOAR right to the unemployment line. Unless my other job holds up that’s the plan. Still have to pay bills each month but you guys seem to forget that.

The ~200 pilots retiring in the next six month are >90% captains Even if hiring stops, they still need people to upgrade - which points towards continued vacancy postings. |

Not a big deal. Company attempting to alleviate surplus of pilots due to Boeing’s continued failures. Very few Empty Lines being offered. I was going to bid for one, but not offered in my seat. Don’t think it’s necessarily a silver lining for junior FOs though. Not likely much of a change for those that don’t get an Empty Line. You’ll see it when the LPAs for May are published early next month. Few more COLAs being offered than empty lines, but not many overall. History repeats itself. UAL will hire right up until they furlough. This time is no different. Also love that the blame is being placed on Boeing, when the real showstopper is that the FAA completely axed your ability to issue type ratings because the wheels are literally coming off your operation. |

Read, inform yourself. You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. History repeats itself is exactly right… |
