As a data point, I'm a 11xxx seniority and I could have held 787 IAH FO last year on a couple bids but it has dried up since then. I plan to bid it as soon as I can, and I bet there are at least a few dozen people in my same situation. I doubt 787 goes to a half winger, at least in next few vacancies. But who knows!

I’d say at least 5 years for 777 or 787 for a post merger Captain.

I'm a post merger higher (mid 2013). I went to ccs, reports, active jr. It show me holding 777 Captain in 2028. If we actually get 787s on schedule it will probably be mid 2027 if I took it first chance I could.

Bottom folks are out in SFO 777. They are 06 CAL hires and UAL guys who road the bottom of the lost decade. Gotta get through UAL furloughess and everyone hired by CAL up to 2008. Yeah not gonna happen. Never underestimate how many guys that live in DEN, IAH, and ORD burbs decide to start commuting to SFO WB Capt once the house becomes empty nest. Used to see it all the time.

That doesn't take into account any new 787s, which start coming in September and this bid isn't addressing.
Would honestly be shocked if we don't see post merger hires in the left seat of a WB by the end of 2026.
