Another United Bird Goes Mudding

Most people on your seniority list that are junior are younger and have little experience. Just because the dude below you has 20 years at another shop doesn't mean sh1t. The world works in generalities man. Your anecdotal story doesn't make the rule. Why do people always go to the extreme to prove a point?
that is complete BS man and you know it. There are thousands junior to me who are equally or more experienced than me. I fly with a ton of ex military heavy/tanker pilots who have had full military carrers. So speaking of genereralities and going to extreme to prove a point……

What do you consider young? Everyone seems young to me, but to my kids in their 20’s the average new hire at 36 would probably seem old. And unless the average new hire is starting aviation in their 30’s, the average new hire still comes here with a pretty decent amount of experience. So, yeah, generalities.

But your anecdotal story that says "because 2 out of a class of 40 new hires has one or two pilots under 25, everyone with a U number starting with 39 or 40 is inexperienced" is completely accurate? The facts say the typical new hire is in their 30's and has over 3,000 hours of flight time. Cherry picking 2 or 3 people from a group of 40 to make your point seems like a pretty extreme reach to me.
