It has been a couple months now with new reserve rules fully implemented. I feel that qol has decreased significantly under the new contract. Line holders are constantly being reassigned as if now on reserve. Reservest are being abused. New reserve lines are not working as described or designed. Hopefully next contract fixes these issues and models south west or deltas approach.
Could you be more specific as to which new reserve lines are not working as described or designed? |

Most categories will have every single person awarded short call. The company is fine paying out the 1 hour credits if it prevents them having to award a premium trip. I live local, have always bid reserve and don't mind the extra pay, but most people are not happy about it. |
Ah and it doesn't surprise me that people will continue to chase the almighty dollar....... the company has figured all of you out

Mostly positive. Biggest negative I see is the layovers have gotten worse. I loved 3 day trips with day 2 off. I had lots of fun on long JAC/FCA/PWM layovers. They have mostly gone away, since they cost the company more money now.

your NB QOL will go up by bidding a WB. (and not the fake 757/767 WB)
|
I'd love to.... if they ever have a WB vacancy again

Really the only change from old contract to new is the elimination of FSB. Remove that and yes lineholders MAY see more reassignments. (Will need several months of data to compare)
personally, as a commuter, I’d MUCH rather sit a FSB than a SC, since it’s only a 4 hour block (instead of 14). But since the 3 hours of pay, the company just doesn’t build them anymore. (I got converted to FSB once off of a SC, so the 4 hours of pay was really nice, but it’s incredibly rare now). |

to be clear, FSB hasn’t “gone away.” It’s still an option for the company to OFFER them. You just can’t be assigned them like you can a SC. FSB costs the company 3 hours regardless of if you’re used.

I am bidding 93 percent in my BES as a Captain and a commuter… The only gripe I have is reign in the 1-day SCs targeting guys with HDOs the next following day…
But other than that, it takes being in the top 30 percent in my BES just to hold a VEC rsv line and or a non-profile rsv line… That causes lines to go below the g-line…. Word is about how terrible LCL rsv lines are…. Let’s just say, that word should stay out about how terrible LCL lines are (stomp stomp stomp)……. |
