Is this the same group from the SFO CPO that came into our indoc class in 2019 and threatened us that they didn't believe the commuter policy applied to probationary pilots and even non-probationary pilots in that base saw discipline for missed commutes?

Definitely agree, they’re the companies advocate, not the pilot. Talk about misunderstanding how things work…

I know that. You know that. But many newer guys and gals to the industry drink the koolaid and actually believe that flight managers are there to help them, when in reality they are simply an extension of HR.

I don't know this individual and have always been an East Coast guy.....I am only trying to educate myself:

It seems most of the displeasure with this individual stems from this Lawsuit and conflicts relative to commuting. Are there others?

If in fact there were contractual violations in the individuals application and interpretation of the commuting policy, did Local representation file a cease and desist?

It’s always been a lot of 2nd and 3rd hand information. Usually it’s “I heard……or my buddies friend was …by the CPO…”. Hardly ever any first hand experiences. Also, some previous C34 officers spread misinformation, which stoked the flames.

There are those who “matter”, and can’t be removed from their position without GLARING offenses….lest there be a lawsuit. I can think of a former 320 LCP who was known system-wide for being….not so great. Despite all that, he was put on a billboard in ORD. “GoOd LeAdS tHe WaY”
