what reason do you have to believe the fuel was contaminated on this flight?

“On Jun 20th 2025 government officials stated, that India's AAIB is currently looking into another case of dual engine problems with an A321 that happened in London Gatwick in 2020, see: Incident: Titan A321 at London on Feb 26th 2020, left engine surged, engine stall indications for right engine, that was caused by fuel contamination. It appears on preliminary findings, that there was no error in the cockpit, it appears that as soon as the flight became airborne the power failure occurred leaving the aircraft unable to climb to a safe altitude.“

I agree that nothing is true until the CVR/FDR is made public, but it appears that the Indian AAIB is already pointing fingers at fuel contamination. I use AVHerald as a pretty good source for truth in Aviation accident reporting (minus the comment section)

Actually more than that:

A Ram Air Turbine (RAT) serves as an emergency source of electrical and
hydraulic power. It has no operating time limits, airspeeds, or altitudes.
In flight, the RAT deploys automatically if any of the following occur:
• both engines have failed
• all three hydraulic system pressures are low
• loss of all electrical power to captain’s and first officer’s flight
instruments
• loss of all four EMPs and faults in the flight control system occur on
approach
• loss of all four EMPs and an engine fails on takeoff or landing
The RAT can be deployed manually if necessary by pushing the RAM AIR
TURBINE switch on the hydraulic panel.

On the B777 it is this by comparison:

In flight, the RAT
deploys automatically if:
• both engines are failed and center system pressure is low, or
• both AC transfer busses are unpowered, or
• all three hydraulic system pressures are low
The RAT can be deployed manually by pushing the RAM AIR TURBINE switch.
The hot battery or APU battery bus must be powered. The center hydraulic system
does not need to be powered. The RAT is deployed by a compressed spring. Once
deployed, the RAT cannot be stowed in flight.

Many of you probably have read something circulating the internets apparently from “someone in the know” from the AAIB.
Basic theory is electrical interruption during rotation.
I read a couple of things that I’m not sure I understand…….certainly don’t agree with at the very least.
Including that
• Torrential rain during pushback.
• Moisture intrusion into PRB-A connector.

must have been a very quick passing front……as the video from the takeoff surely doesn’t suggest heavy rainfall….but it is the monsoon season
Look it, maybe we can lean on someone with connections to India but most of my Indian born friends and neighbors (non pilots) tell me that Government agencies aren’t known for their investigative integrity or transparency.

and anyway why is this on United’s thread?

we have aircraft that fly to India, and fuel up in India. One day I will be flying those planes and staying in the hotel over the course of the overnight. Plus, I was in the sun all day, had a few drinks, and was left unsupervised.
