wintips.ual.com is available to all UAL employees. It has the jumpseat priority tables for all combinations of jumpseater and operating carrier. UX pilots should have their own reference through their employer.

On a non-exclusive UX carrier, own-metal pilots are first, of course. The rest of the UX and UA pilots are grouped together by time of check-in.
That’s not what the OP asked. But most people didn’t answer his question either.

OP: you are priority 8. You are grouped amongst other pilots from your own airline by seniority when riding on mainline. Just look in wingtips and you’ll find your answer.

Thank you for the help. Until this post I did not know about the wingtips page.

No, I'm saying that the Captain is in control of the jumpseat, not the gate agent.

From: 18%er but I’ll enforce UPA23 to the last period.

The policy is the tiebreaker for who’s going to ride my jumpseat all else being equal. If the number 1 for my jumpseat is a mainline scab they can find another ride. I move on to number 2 according to policy. If number 2 wants to be an entitled prick about it I’ll keep moving down the list.

Yup. Republic did exactly that to the pilots of AA and their wholly owned carriers a few years back when they would walk up the jetway and say “I’m not taking you, I’m taking the lower priority code NK pilot” because they were mad about their priority code on AA while jumpsesting.

I especially enjoyed the memo the AA CSR manager in ORD sent out to the gate agents telling them to ignore the YX captains when they mentioned a different priority.

But then again, this is the airline whose jumpseat chair flat out said that the jumpseat belongs to management, so what would you expect...
