With all the rumors swirling about the MOAB (Mother Of All Bids) supposedly coming next month, how junior/senior do you think upgrades will go. With the Feb vacancy with 80 spots, ORD 320 CA going to a 14,000 number, I’m thinking it’ll go pretty junior, especially on the coasts. Any thoughts?

I'd bet it's fairly junior on the coastal bases and senior in other places. Only time will tell. There were a lot of fence sitters who didn't take the upgrade 2 years ago who will now be wanting to take it, or at least that's my guess.

Mostly depends on whether the FOs sitting on the fence get FOMO and bid CA now.

annoying as that is, that’s my guess too. But it’s time . I get many complaints of 11 year F.Os taking all the good trips. So hopefully some of them upgrade so I can stop hearing those seemingly valid complaints.

I think 15k is a reasonable guess for plug NB CA on the coasts. I’d expect fewer WB FO vacancies though, and for that to go more senior. Both of these guesses subject to change once we see the actual bid, of course…

DEC will be the 320 CA bids for 2026 and it’s just for 321 growth in the inland bases.
i think 15K is reasonable. But outside EWR/SFO it’ll probably be north of 13K

this is going to be a far cry from a MOAB…..it’s just ALL of the 737 Captain bids for summer 2026. considering the CR Update stated the 737 bids will be on the coasts tells me we are still well staffed.
