IAH will see a lot of growth once all the new gates come online.

if you book a flight on United from SEA - OKC where are you going to connect? IAH is a terrible connection airport for 75% or more of the country that’s IAHsvproblem

United had a SEA hub and didn't fly to Anchorage, it's just where the money is.

At some point funneling international traffic through SFO or EWR is going to break (if it hasn’t broken already). If you’re a pax in OKC. Would you rather go through IAH and get to FCO on time or go through EWR and miss your connection and end up a day late? SEA pax can sit around for a couple hours on the ground in SEA waiting for their ground delay in SFO to lift or fly to IAH and seamlessly connect to anywhere South and East.

The flying experience for pax out of EWR and SFO is miserable and it’s only going to get worse. There is no space for expansion over there while IAH is almost unlimited.

IAD is also a great place to connect for those on the east coast.

EWR is a whole different place now that it’s slot controlled.

That's why they're funneling everyone through Denver.

I doubt many people who live in the left half of the country want to fly backwards to IAH when their final destination is Asia or Australia. The Pacific flying is why SFO exists as a massive and very profitable hub. The deep South flying out of IAH is a small fraction of the SFO Pacific flying...

Why not route east coast connections to Asia through IAH instead of SFO?
