Fix the company always making the reserve pool red.

We need to start getting paid when we board the airplane. 15-30 minutes of waiting for the ground crew to get their act together every flight while the parking brake is set is absurd. Probably wouldn’t even cost the company that much since PTC is often higher than our hard time.

Agreed. The random staffing levels need to go and for boarding pay for sure that’s when we work the most.

i haven’t seen anything from union about the delta situation snd
how that might affect us

how about a leg override? 0.5 for every leg? WB crews won’t like it but aligns with workloads. Makes 4 leg days on the bus more palatable

Leg override would be in the spirit of valuing a pilot's time "on duty", so I agree that this sounds like a net positive to our group. 3+ leg days contain a lot of unpaid duty time.

OK it’s a scheduling sleight of hand they use when you have 2 trips back to back and you finish late on the first one and you no longer recieve contractual “domicile rest” between trips. Scheduling simply combines the two trips and makes your domicile a layover station. They have to offer a hotel to you. So there’s that. Domicile rest is only applicable in trip construction. Once in the operation, it no longer means anything.

So, if in actual operation, you end one trip and don’t have contractual domicile rest between trips, they owe you nothing? Sounds fatiguing.

Anyone care to paint a picture of exactly what this looks like? Stupid WB question so want to know what to support.

When I got here, I was told that we have the same reassignment add pay structure as Delta. My pay registered determined that was a lie lol

I guess I didn’t convey it well. Yes, reassignments are expected sometimes. But a premium must be paid. If you bid for a layover, you should be compensated well for not getting it.

To align with workloads, why not just push to make the top pay rate go to 737 FO position. And WB Capt rates can be set to first year guppy FO rates. That would align workload to pay.

Why stop there? Why not pay professional junkies regional FO pay? /s

Junkies already get “high” pay on their own.

I completely agree with you! Especially because some layovers are one off that you got off the tradeboard/open time board
