No problem. We’ll still come out as we see fit, and have a fresh beverage as needed. Doesn’t matter if they call us, or we call them. But your point is taken. They can be salty.

I just put my earbuds in noise canceling mode, put my shades on and go to sleep right when I get seated.

Yeah, I'm sure you're a fit, toned example of American manhood. GMAFB

Just trying to get a laugh.

But the JB/ NK guys felt very, very attacked by the Biden administration for trying to block their merger.

It probably saved JetBlue. They be toast if they had taken that mess for the price.

In other news, there's a Polymarket https://polymarket.com/event/united-...ounced-in-2026

The big merger talks on this website are by people who want it to happen for personal reasons, not what the Willis Tower crowd wants. Personally, I see any potential consolidation happening at the regional and LCC level but not at the big 4. Either way, we’re just along for the ride.

what’s your deal with this anti JB/UAL. It’s annoying af. Are you a former disgruntled JBU guy/gal?

This is the kind of intellectual business analysis I browse this site for. Thank you.

No beef with them at all and I sincerely hope that they turn can things around. Others have insisted that they bring a lot to the table and I was arguing that UA only seems interested in a few gates at JFK and wouldn’t deal with a merger just to get them. Sorry if that offends you or isn’t what you want to read.

Here’s how this could work. AA is going to have terrible numbers with Jet A priced where it is. A strategic chapter 11 filing, followed by the merger. If corporate wants this to happen, they can massage the numbers. Your 767s and 757s go away, replaced by our 787s and XLRs. Our 777s go away. Some of our old America West/USAir 320s and and legacy AA 737-800a go away. The newer ones probably get kept. Our Max 8s join your 737 fleet. Network efficiencies will allow for a smaller combined fleet than both airlines currently operate, particularly on the narrow body side.

Are people on your side of the house taking this talk seriously?
