You obviously need to be reminded:
- UAL ACQUIRED/TOOK OVER CAL - Not a simple stock swap as management and you would love for us to believe!
- We have 78 wide bodies - you have 22
- We have 132 75/767s - you have 88
- We have 152 Airbuses - you have 238 737s - this pretty much says you are a narrow body airline
- We have 50 787/350s on order with 100 options - you have 25 78s with NO options
- We have longevity and REAL career expectations - you have a happy work force

Sir, please do not think for a moment that just because your workforce is apparently happy we are going to somehow give you the golden goose. FAR FAR from it my ALPA brother.

You will not get relative seniority - you are dreaming my friend!

this from another board...
Not much different that Jayson's missive IMO -- Depends on which side you're standing on. Like the ML though, it is pointless. Of course they does make some of us all warm and fuzzy inside, but they are still pointless.

Bigdog, I hope you have read the entire thread before jumping in the CAL pilot's sh!t on this forum. By and large both groups on this forum understand the importance of a unified pilot group and have avoided ****ing contests like the one you're trying to start (or continue where Jayson left off). I hope that the responses to your post show the same restraint as we saw with the original ML.

SOTeric,

In my opinion Jayson is a buffoon and is on equal footing to what Richard Ferris referred to Jamie Lindsey as: "He is lower than Whale S&^%".

What I believe, and I am apt to be wrong, the majority of the UA/CA pilots on this forum are not about beating their chest about what they perceive to do better than the other carrier. In fact I get the sense that most pilots want to achieve a Joint contract that provides an increase in pay/quality of life and protects scope from becoming the demise of MORE jobs. Most are realistic to believe that arbitration will be the solution to the ISL and we pick up the pieces after this is over and work together.

I'll buy that. We'll have a better idea 12/17.

Hmmm....did we forget:

UAL has 153 CRJ700/EMB170 airplanes - CAL has 0 (ZIP, ZILCH, NADA, SCOPE)
UAL earns revenue by outsourcing flying to a foreign carrier with non-United crews - CAL doesn't (that SCOPE thing again)

I'm sure these tie in with REAL career progressions somewhere, huh?

Give it a rest already. Both sides can point to things they bring to the table. So enough of me vs. you. It's US (UNITED pilots) vs. THEM (management).

Quote: One last post from me and then I am done with this thread. I just reread the ML, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with Item one or my editorial. Our airline is going away, so we have every right to remind our pilots where we come from and how proud we are of our soon to be former airline.
The United pilots have their elected representatives fighting on their behalf and the Continental pilots have their own as well. This is business and don’t take anything personally, it appears to me to many of you are way too sensitive. I have gotten countless phone calls and e-mails from our pilots supporting the latest ML. I’m out of here.
Okay Jayson...I will bite. You say the UAL pilots have their elected reps fighting on their behalf. Can you explain why you decided to pick a fight with Brett Walker (IAH Captain rep) at the BOD meeting? Then you back down. Is this your idea of fight for the CAL pilots? Maybe you can explain what you were trying to accomplish with that stunt. Maybe you should take your own advice and seek help from a psycholigist. Better yet, why don't you just quit and save us the trouble of recalling you.

While I'm at it.....can you explain why you supported a resolution to keep Doug Morotta on as Vice Chair of CALALPA after he lost his medical? The union is paying him full time trip loss so he doesn't have to use LTD? Do other CAL pilots have the same opportunity for this deal? Come Jayson, let's here some answers.

You last comment was "I'm out of here"...please do resign. You are disgrace, and you call yourself a trade unionist....right!
