The big question is will the company give you the details of the class they are offering you, (bases, equip ect..), or will you have to make a decision on just attending then they spring on you whats available?

I suspect the latter with this wonderful place.

I think he just meant a senior furloughee bypassing and then when he took the job, he would come in higher on the list....above the earlier guys.

Thanks. That was one part of the TPA that has + and -s. Would think that you would get a seniority number at CO, not the case, allowing "swooping". Interesting to see the by pass rate. AA was 1 to 7. Would guess 1 to 2 or 3.

As you will have to have a CO seniority number, and it is quite possible CO will have to hire off the street within the next 18 months if a contract/SLI isn't completed, my guess is they will block out the next 1437 numbers to assign to furloughees.

Someone else had said that we wouldn't get a CO number because of swooping as it could change every class. Waiting on all the fine print and class dates. Hopefully by mid month of Aug,

Not true. There is a 2 year freeze on equipment UNLESS you are moving to a higher category or upgrading. 737 FO can move to 756 FO without incurring the two year seat lock. Once on the 756 you can go to 777 FO or 737 CA in the same manner. However, if you get 756 FO as a new hire you cannot go to 737 FO for two years.

Do you carry the original freeze to the new equipment? If you fly the 737 for 6 months and then move the 757 do you then have a 3 1/2 year freeze?
