In its decision, the Board recommended that the Company reset the deadline for Phase 2 CBT to Oct. 6 and issue a clear notification informing pilots to that effect.
Haven't seen a "clear notification informing the pilots" as of yet. Then again, if it is only a recommendation, well that falls under the same category as "may" and "will attempt" that is in our contract.

Your correct....
They're already issuing the Phase 3a deadlines w/o publishing anything 'official' pertaining to the adjusted (now 'rumor' of Oct 6th) Phase 2 due date that arbitrated yesterday

Wait, I think I hear the echos of Jeffy and Freddy....."HURRY, we need to wrap this up at ANY cost....Our Bonus is hanging in the wind".

All Pilots

The purpose of this bulletin is to remind you that SOC Phase 3a training will begin in the October bid period. The effective date for Phase 3a is October 28, 2011, not to be confused with the Phase 2 Effective Date.

The FAA approved courseware associated with Phase 3a requires that you complete this training not later than 0001 local base time, October 28, 2011. Exceptions are NOT possible; therefore, those pilots who have not completed the courseware prior to that date will enter an unpaid lost qualification status.

Please direct any questions you may have to your Chief Pilot.

Regards, .......

"unpaid lost qualification status" ... I've been on that for three years... I thought it was called a furlough! What is the jeopardy of this status?

Not if you don't do it! You get unpaid leave. After the Summer ... A couple thousand pilots are surely a little tired... A week or two unpaid leave could do a body good. Enjoy the time, it could define your future.

Too bad they can't make the NQ status effective the Monday before thanksgiving. That would make holiday bidding easier
