Council 12 NOTAM
Fellow Council 12 pilots:
On the evening of January 4, 2012, your MEC convened a 3:19 business conference call to discuss and receive briefings regarding our legal and strategic options regarding the CAL MEC Master Chairman negotiating Profit Sharing with management.
As we digest these briefings, it remains clear that we have a strong legal argument and will take the strongest action on all avenues regarding violations to the T&PA and the RLA Section 6 Status Quo.
As this process unfolds, CAL MEC Master Chairman Captain Jay Pierce has just informed us that he will not be attending our Council meeting on January 11, 2012, due to a schedule conflict.
We know you are eager to receive more information. We are facing very important issues and will report the facts to you as they are known and confirmed. We will only act on sound facts and evidence, not on emotion. To achieve this we will not seek instant gratification. The process will be deliberate to achieve the maximum gain for our pilots.
Tomorrow and in the days ahead UAL MEC Master Chairman Captain Jay Heppner will be providing you with more information. Expect more information from us, as well.

Don't know what the "scheduling conflict" is but I'd bet money if this is turning into a legal issue Jay has been advised not to go before a UAL LEC meeting. Just saying.

I find it funny to the fact that is WAS NOT mentioned anywhere in the above release that the inferred "Scheduling Conflict" is due in part that CA Pierce & "YOUR" CA Hepner are BOTH meeting that SAME DAY with UHC's Bonds/McKeen to attempt to resurrect some of the TPA provision that the L-UA Pilots were/are seeking.
I'm surprised that "Clark Kent's" Twin Brother, AKA-F/O Popper, did not want to add that tidbit to the above release.

Truly amazing public "spin".

Sounds like the "Right hand is NOT talking to the left hand" in Council 12....at least publicly.

Your weightless "opinion" Syd....
Don't let the "Conveniently Omitted FACTS" that I mentioned above get in the way as to 'what' the "Scheduling Conflict" truly was....BOTH "Jay's" going to a meeting that DAY with the Company regarding the TPA items that YOUR group seeks. Have a problem that JP is NOT coming to C-12?? Take it up with your new "boy" Hepner....your barking here does NO GOOD.
It is becoming more & more evident that you are turning into the proverbial "Blind Man Picking Out His Favorite Porno"......Grasping for absolutely anything.
Carry on.....

Wait, you mean the comments right here on APC didn't scare Jay away from your LEC meeting... how can that be?? It appears as though a little sunshine is indeed good for you. Your Council 12 failed to mention what the scheduling conflict really was. Jay working with Jay for the betterment of UAL pilots? inconceivable...

Not taking anything up with our new "boy", honestly if you read back further I never expected anything to come out of your "boy" showing up at a meeting anyhow. I just like your spin all the time.

The company and CALMEC admits that UCAL bought 500K of possible, yet certainly not assured, award for 40 MILLION DOLLARS. Does anyone here really not believe the company considered it an investment in something? What exactly could the company be buying for that 40 million that we're all overlooking?

...and a Scab in the making given the opportunity. He's already proven a propensity to look out only for himself. When we look back at this, I suspect that most of us will recognize his failure as an MEC chairman, and regret his unfortunate success as a management shill.

Not sure where you got that kind of response out of my post. I simply pointed out that the company paid 40 million on a possible but not guaranteed 500K tab. That's only 80 times more than it "could" have possibly, at some point, cost. They bought something with that. It certainly wasn't out of the goodness of their heart.

Seems fair to me - What's your point?
