Carriers going out of business don't buy other airlines. Who acquired who?

Are we rehashing this fairy tale again? Perhaps you should ask the 90%+ of surviving management types, (CAL), who are left about this one.

Although you're comment is straight out of fantasy-land, who cares? We're all stuck aboard the RMS Titanic and have to figure out how not to hit the iceberg AND get paid properly while doing so.

That's easy. The furloughed pilots are on the UAL Seniority List, therefore they will return (if they choose to come back when recalled) to the line at UAL when retirements start.

The arbitrators will produce an Integrated Seniority List, not an Integrated Pilots Currently on Property List.

Why this topic continues to be batted around here is beyond me. The LUAL and LCAL attorneys will each present their best case in front of the arbitrators and the chips will fall from there.

Actually I didnt get it from fantasy land, I havent been there yet. I got it from here. United buys Continental for $3B

Snake gets it. Some of the fairy-tale believers need to read and re-read this. Only then might it sink in.

Fine keep salting the land over something that none of us has any control over.

I had to wait 10 years to make captain at the first chance I could hold
I took my first available left seat at 11 years and some change. Now I am an F/O on reserve again at 15 years. Not by choice obviously. Stuff happens.

Ahhh, but if you check the financials for the last independent year, you'll see a much different story. I'd argue that those numbers are much more relevant.

Anyway, not trying to start a peeing match with my co-workers :). Just want us all to keep in mind there are some people who are going to get a real short end of a stick thanks to a few managers who wanted to makes themselves a few more millions.
