This is the mentality Herb Kelleher describes that brought me to United in the 90's.

I was duped.

I'm not looking to pick a fight here, but ISTR that United became the 2nd largest airline in the world with the merger. Some might argue that isn't "Nothing". I think many would also say that the situation at EWR was different than the situation at IAH and Hobby. There's plenty of apace at IAH and plenty of space with the new construction at Hobby. EWR, not so much.

Not particularly. Although you have to respect what WN has done and continues to do. I'm actually more of a Continental lover because of their history, although I've never had dealings with them besides the occasional ride. From the good times in the "Proud Bird" days, the bad times of Lorenzo, the multi-airline Duct tape and Baling wire fleet and back to the proud final days of Continental. Then to whatever we'd like to characterize the operation of today. My distaste for United's attitude in Houston is purely based on their actions, not any preexisting bias.

Hey look it says new hire to the left. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers. I gotta make probation. :-)
