Do you have any evidence to support that beyond wishful thinking? I don't mean to sound like a jerk but what you guys are doing isn't working. How about a real strategy?

No, Delta just screwed themselves and everyone else. I was referring to another strategy in the likely event that United pilots are not released to strike. Sickout, outstation write ups and things of that nature.

I am waiting for the wave of chicken littles that think the airline cops are going to throw 10,000 pilots in pilot jail if they do something outside the legal envelope. Holding picket signs and begging for a strike that will never come aren't getting things done. No wonder management rapes us so hard. Our unions are toothless and the work groups are lazy, spineless cowards. That includes groups other than United.

They don't need to throw 10,000 pilots in jail to accomplish their goal.

back up plan?

Well, I've got 2 extra jobs plus going back to graduate school. That's a start.

Wow. Really showing your ignorance. Illegal job actions will only slow things down more with several months in court.

You can talk tough, but look at what happened to American with their "sick out" in 1999.

We're going to play it a little smarter than that.

You're never going to get released for a strike. You are too big and it's an election year. Marching in circles with stupid signs doesn't work either. What will you do?
Illegal job action....ha! Do a wildcat strike or sick out. When management sues your MEC do what management does and file BK and start a new one. Name on pilot who ever went to jail for an illegal strike. Show a little unity and do it together and nobody goes to jail. Management will win this battle if you guys keep using the same old tired strategies.

United doesn't operate in a vacuum. What is good for United is good for the rest of us. I want United to have the best contract the industry has ever seen. I want scope taken back. Make it happen. I am pulling for you guys.
