Does anyone know if your rec has to come from the official company email, such as [email protected], or can they use their home email address when recommending someone?

I am on my second expat contract flying as Captain on the 737-800.
Those China jobs sound good on paper but rarely work out in the end. Too many headaches and the money is never as good as promised.
I'm going back to UAL if that is any indicator of how lousy working overseas can be.
