Peter,

Your trying to beat a dead horse to death. There are 12,000 guys with other things to consider than your concerns.

Just take the ONE vote you have and get over it.

We are all in this together. Like it or not.

Yak..
These are "Not my concerns"...
These should be EVERYONES concerns.

Today a Pay Calculator was put up. The link was on one of the CAL (United) Forum site.
I went to it.. (it is an ALPA Function) and low and behold, it gave me bad info!
I posted the issue on the site, someone (who may be pushing the YES Vote) told me it was my fault. "Garbage in, Garbage out" he wrote to me.
I explained and showed what I was putting in, what it was putting out.

Low and behold, hours later he reaches back to me and tells me the union is aware there is a glitch and I should now consider DOS as Dec 2013 for my calculations!

I **** you not!!

Right now, the ONLY Union Reps I trust are the LAX and IAH CAL Side. Unfortunately I haven't heard or read anything for the 3 UAL NO Voters.

But hopefully, the stuff I (and others) are pointing out will open other peoples ears and eyes. Even if they just try to confirm some of this stuff themselves via reading the contract, or going to a RoadShow..
Maybe it makes some of the Fence sitters Vote NO. And changes some of the YES Voters to maybe's and NO.

(To me, a maybe is someone who isn't sure.. and "maybe" shouldn't Vote.)

just vote no.

No need to do anything else. Very simple business decision.

Since some don't believe the 3.5:1 trip rig implementation.

Anybody get their pseudo "postcard" in the mail today from the union. Mine was directed specifically at the lcal side and all of the wonderful improvements that have been made. I can accept that if it also had the same list of items that are now concessionary. Not selling this ta my arse.

And what is your plan after that? I have yet to hear of a plan. Do you have one?

Well, it's kinda like playing poker and stuff.

Perception is reality...after the "no" vote; take a deep breath, relax, and the first one to talk loses...basic negotiating 101 stuff.

Allow the union(s) to do their respective jobs and initiate their mitigation plans should such a "no" vote occur.

Stop empowering the company negotiators by assuming the worst and cowering like a bunch of panzies what-iffing our own concocted doomsday scenarios....they have something to gain via this transaction or they would not have come to the point they have. They have certainly not reached their point of diminishing returns on the first offer, to assume they have is strategically, well...dumb.

Cheers,
Horhay

Horhay,

"they have something to gain via this transaction or they would not have come to the point they have".....Well Horhay, I got the strong impression that they came to this point only because the NMB prodded UCH to get THIS deal done. Not the next one, THIS one. To get the NMB, CALMEC, UALMEC and UCH to this point took 2 years of intense battle. Furthermore, this is NOT your ordinary section 6 negotiation. To think so would be, well.... "dumb".

So you only trust the people that agree with your position?

I posted here what the SEA chairman wrote defending his NO vote. It was truly amazing..... And not in a good way. He touts USAirways FA's as what we can expect from the company and the NMB if we vote no. Really??? Considering 6 months later they have no TA, just took a strike vote, and have been essentially parked by the NMB (Parker stated there will be NO more money for the FA's) I'm not sure that this is the example I would have used!!!!
