This is yet another big confrontation brewing.

Read the T&PA. It says a pilot must be "in the process of completing or who have completed qualification training for a new position".

On the training bulletin, they are trying to say that you just need a class date assigned.

That's not how I read it.

My guess? Expedited arbitration.

No confrontation, already agreed on the TBA policy. If you are awarded a class date via TBA, you are good to go. Part of jays jumping up and down , don't upset anyone agreement.

What is the "TBA policy"?

Is it written anywhere?

If you are referring to the T&PA (Transition and Process Agreement), here is what it says:

Pilots who, at the time of implementation of an integrated seniority list, are
in the process of completing or who have completed qualification training
for a new position (e.g., B-777 Captain or A-319 First Officer) may be
assigned to the position for which they are being or have been trained,
regardless of their relative standing on the Integrated Seniority List.

Or the company can just drag their feet and not staff properly
in anticipation of re-training from a new bid after SLI

Seems like getting through the summer schedule without adequate
staffing is a favored game around here

Not TPA, TBA, training bid assignments. That is the cal agreed upon system of issuing training dates which is the agreed upon procedure with jay h. It states that if you have a TBA before sli (which is pushing further and further back partly thanks to frivolous law suits) than you will continue to training, if not , you stay where u were at.

Frivolous?

This word can have several meanings. Since the SLI hasn't even happened yet, frivolous doesn't really seem to fit the circumstances.

Douche-bag lawsuits seems to me to fit the bill.

Lawsuits AFTER the SLI will be frivolous ones. And will be thrown out.
