Quote: Perhaps that something you mention about is you are not meeting the initial criteria UAL has set for their very first off the street calls? My point is that with hiring LITERALLY just beginning there is no reason to start doubting yourself over certain questions you marked yes or no to simply because you were not the very first group called.
I would agree. I am military with a loaded resume. I can't think of much more to make it look better. And I haven't received an email either. Maybe a Phd would make me more competitive? One good thing for those not in the first group is they may have a better idea of what to expect in the interview since others will be going first and may be willing to share their experiences.

This. With a rumored 8000 apps on file, lets say 1/4 of them meet the criteria for the first round of calls. Someone said they're only calling 300 to start, so that means you had about a 1 in 7 chance of getting the email assuming we knew what the first round criteria was.

I'm in the same boat, nothing. For the most part we're all type A personalities that are used to making things happen, but in this case we all have to just sit and wait, and keep updating hoping for the call. As painful as that is!

In redoc at UA today. We were told over 9,000 apps on file. Computer ranked 1-9,000ish. Intermal recs help, activities outside flying, degrees ect. Flying time not an overriding factor. Bringing in 300 for interviews starting next week. Hoping for a 60-75% selection rate initially.

You forgot race, gender, and sexual orientation. It's not about anything important anymore. Who you know and what you are.

MW in ORD CPO still says 60 month for at least a year and then adjusted after that to match retirements.

Not sure. Passing on what was mentioned. Will hire till isl is done. Late summer. Then offer recall to all furloughed pilots. Then resume hiring.
