Not my list Motch.

That came from Mister Google. Its also what prompted my comment, "I might listen to ten....fifteen tops. The 90s were a handful of bands away from a musical wasteland." Lotta crap on that list if you ask me. Of course, I'm ancient and I fart dust.

I like U2 a lot. I just wish they had normal names and didn't take themselves so seriously. If they just had ONE song as fantastically stupid and as fantastic as "Wynona's Big..."

I might listen to ten....fifteen tops. The 90s were a handful of bands away from a musical wasteland.

Mo' seats? Sure, keep em and fill the whales and 777s. That where the REAL money is made. A stretched guppy is just a longer trout in the porcelain bowl. We still gotta serve good pizza though. And I still don't care how many seats are behind me. DAL just put in a pretty good quarter. How many uber guppies do they fly?

I don't live in a Tequila bottle. I live in a condo. I do love tequila...but I love bourbon more. Well, unless its summer. Then I enjoy a Gin n Tonic. You know, potent botanicals, quinine and lime. This tasty elixir not only helps keep scurvy at bay, but it also facilitates a pleasant demeanor and comportment. Equally important, the ladies diggit. That's always good. Cold Beer is good too. Real good.

Nothin' about your music, just your attitude about what constitutes satisfaction. Your still hanging on the 90's pomp n flash, internet boom, and C2000 and all paxs want is the free stuff with a cheap seat and a stupid tube in front of them. You still seem to refuse any change but whether you want it or not, it's here.

You want to fill the intl, you gotta bring the paxs. You don't care about how many are behind you, you aren't bringing the paxs. DAL is gonna do 100+. Or perhaps you are happy with some more 90 seaters flown by some more furloughed UAL pilots? Your arrogance is only exceeded by your lack of vision and refusal to change.

And whatever your poison may be at the moment, you might want to crawl out for a while and clear the cobwebs.

Oh and as for the music;

1. Nirvana - +1

What? Elvis didn't make the list?

Some day ERW73FO will learn to respect his elder, James is the "man."

So if you are fenced off them, that's not "fair" because you WANT to be able to fly those big jets, that you don't have the opportunity to right now, and those guys who have been waiting to fly those big airplanes at UAL, it isn't "fair" that they have that chance and not you.

So anything more than a 5 year fence "wouldn't be fair".

So either there has to be a major fence or ratio that always gets maintained between the two groups so that sUAL pilots still have the same ratio of widebody jobs they have access to today, OR the seniority list needs to be put together in a way that makes that happen without a fence.

So if today there are 3,000 UAL pilots flying Cap and FO on widebody aircraft, and 1,000 CAL doing the same, then in 15 years, that ratio should still exist.

The wide body jobs at ual before the merger paid less then 737s at cal, so that logic makes no sense. It's all about the money, u know that. I'm all for fences. Fence the 747 and 777 on ual, and fence the 787,777, and all 737 upgrades. That way it keeps the effects down for awhile.

So if cal pilots made more, then 15 yrs from now that ratio should be the same. That's your logic??

"Yeah, we'll like that's your opinion, man."

We disagree on plenty and your characterization of me is inaccurate. Plus, you're missing an important apostrophe. I will agree with you on Neil Young however.

Pre contract CAL 737 was $150 for 12 year captain.
Pre contract UAL 747 was $191 for 12 year captain.

This doesn't include the 16% B-plan for UAL pre contract.

Plus there are drastic QOL differences between being a 747 pilot and a 737 one. No way a 747 pilot can work 18 days a month.

747 jobs are better than 737 jobs. Period.

But don't worry, I have faith a reasonable person will put a reasonable list together that is fair. We are all going to be fine after SLI. Everyone's number is going to change, but that's misleading because both sides bring value and the combined airline has more value than either airline did separately.

GP, we won't know until around Sept. All you're going to get until then is a bunch of speculation and chest thumping from pilots who have no say and no idea. My SWAG is you might see the 744s fenced, but I'd seriously doubt anything else is. Be careful what you wish for. If the fences at AA/US Airways are significant, it might cost you on the ratio side of the SLI. My opinion is worth what you paid for it.
