The difference is in what missions the 737 and 756 historically do on the CAL side.

The 756 is primarily a European machine out of EWR where 80% or more of the trips start with a long redeye across the pond.

While the 737 redeyes have increased, they do not encompass such a large percentage of the flying.

Go to the EWR thread and see what is being said about 737 flying.

Basically the airplane is taking a bigger role

I did, and I understand the problem. But I was just pointing out a fundamental mission difference between the two fleets that will not change. You have a better chance as a senior 737 pilot to avoid anf flying, even with these new changes that we are not liking.
