Usually I just read these posts!! I realize most people on here are extreme (both sides!) and don't represent the overall group!! It was nice to read posts like Sunvox's above since it sounds realist and Moderate!! He is not giving in on any of his hopes but wants to have a good career when the ISL is over!! I say to UAL guys that I fly with we shouldn't talk about the ISL since, no matter how "Fair and Sensible" we seem, it will come across offensive to the other group! To all of the UAL guys on here that are offended by CALS opener, do you not think UAL's opener will be somewat offensive to the CAL Pilots? For me I'll look at it and say " It's NEGOTIATIONS and the UAL MEC is doing what they can ( and should do!) for there pilots!!!! DON"T TAKE IT PERSONAL!! We are 2 pilot groups with 2 MEC negotiating 1 list!!! There is going to be friction and fireworks!! (This is why I wish it could be done in private!!) Just to throw a "twist" in the debate, UAL proposal would probably help me more than CAL's!! If we went date of hire I would move up! (There are people senior to me with later hire dates on our list!) Also, I am a CAL furlough 94 timeframe, so if UAL is to get Furlough credit that would help me move up on the UAL list since I believe you guys were hiring at the time! I am like Sunvox, in that there are individual things that can help all of us but, we need to think as a union as much as we can when this is over and ALL have a good career!!! ( p.s.- I don't believe either example above will help my cause, and don't care!! I'm not a defeatest just a Realest!!)

If you haven't done so already, please visit www.LOA25.com and donate what you can to put these guys in their place.

Really,

That list beyond offensive. It places me behind everybody on the CAL List AKA A staple job.

That right there is worth fighting over. Nothing personal you understand it's only an attempt at having my whole flopping career getting flushed down the toilet!!

It's amazing that nobody here understands this. I certainly understand that you bring more widebodies to the mix, and I fully expect some credit to you for that, but no windfalls either way!

CCC: An obligor rated 'CCC' is currently vulnerable, and is dependent upon favorable business, financial, and economic conditions to meet its financial commitments.
All different types of financing out there.

Continental divide

American Airlines and Continental Airlines have shown that bond investors like spare parts and engine bonds. So why has no one else followed?

Read more: American Airlines; Continental Airlines

In 2002 Continental Airlines closed the first spare parts enhanced equipment trust certificate (EETC). The deal was a success, despite closing during tough capital markets, at a time when many aircraft EETCs were downgraded. American Airlines then successfully closed an unwrapped spare parts financing deal in 2003. Continental Airlines bounced back by closing its first wrapped deal in June 2006, obtaining the lowest-ever pricing on an EETC when it closed at Libor plus 35 basis points.

All three deals have proved that investors like the assets. All three deals have performed well. So why has not every US airline closed a spares deal yet?

Well you haven't seen the UAL proposal yet, but I'd wager that date of hire will only be applied where it benefits them, and they'll use some other methodology when it suits their cause!

You're actually gonna compare 17.25% v. libor + 35 basis points (less than 4%). Please don't be my financial adviser...

Some CAL Guys are emailing the MC and asking questions. I have not seen this list and would like to.

As a UAL Pilot, I assume you have access to L-UAL ALPA Site. Is your site posting EVERY exhibit from the hearings?
Obviously, your site has posted the CAL Proposal List.. any chance you or someone can email it?

Thanks
