16 years till retirement .. and , prolly won't raise the gear for you , nor listen to your "i'm an sop kinda guy brief" . Probably won't even stop doing my crossword puzzle to listen to you brief . You can go ahead and say positive rate, gear up, and I'll reply, "you got two hands, raise your own damn gear"

Yeah, yeah, you're the captain LOL .. that really means something to me after two upgrades. I was a junior ******* captain once .. sounds like that job is filled right now by OleCAL

And that statement demonstrates so eloquently why we think of you CAL guys as scabs .. you've been mentored by them . Lemme steal your career to advance mine , yeah, that's the ticket. I can hardly wait till you get ***** slapped by a UAL dude with 10 more years seniority than you

Pilotbiff,

Maybe you shouldn't speak for your pilot group when you say things like that. Maybe be better off just saying I? I spend a lot of time with a lot of United north types and we discuss this, over beer, all the time. I think you are making your group lookbad due to your frustration as sure as scabs are bad at any airline, including yours.

No. I have more time in hotels that used to be time at home. 5 per day now means flying a morning flight, a day in hotel, then flying an evening flight.

You lose a lot of credibility when you suggest that M5D is somehow worse than what you previously had. My flying has improved EXPONENTIALLY since M5D took effect because it no longer pays for the company to stick you in MEX for 30 hours 4 times a month.

Well I don't blame M5D as much as I blame the crappy pairings since the contract. I do think the contract and M5D have driven the crappy pairings. I'm hoping it will settle down soon. There are still plenty of 30+ hour layovers in crappy locations too. I did better without the new contract.

+1. All of the furloughees I have flown with have been great, professional and appreciative. I guess there is always a few bad apples in every bunch!

Look at my past posts... I have always been rational and non-confrontational. I'm just sick and tired of the personal attacks and name calling from a few of the UAL peeps. Take a good look at the problem before you call me arrogant!
