Holy Scheise people! LOL
You're making me feel like Rodney King (when he wasn't getting beat up by cops, or getting drunk- cue the political correctness police over my stupid humor in 3, 2, 1... LOL)
Every group has there 5-10%.. but when this is all said and done (in Aug/Sept) I hope that the rest of the 90-95% can all just get along~
[See what I done there~]
Ha! I on a roll
Now, back to my Beer and Nascar Race.
Always

Getting Bumped-
I think you need to reread my post. CURRENTLY, while the M5D is a good thing for pay, it is not doing anything for my (or some of my fellow 756 EWR FO) QoL.
I will not be looking at 13-15 days off until Sept at the earliest. Just the way it is. Even my MEC Chair pointed out that "If you're getting a line with 12 days off, now you'll at least be paid a minimum of 90 hours for it"
Thanks (written sarcastically)
As far as my 13:45 to 17:30 trips are concerned-
EWR-BFS 3 day, 14:20 Block 15:00 credit**
EWR-BHX 4 day, 15:25 Block 20:00 credit
EWR-GLA 3 day, 14:30 Block 15:00 credit
EWR-HNL 5 day, 22:56 Block 25:49 credit
EWR-MAD 3 day, 16:30 Block 16:30 credit
**
Trade EWR-HAM 3 day, 16:55 Block 16:55 credit
All the trips above (including the EWR-LAX-HNL-LAX-EWR) have 24hr (or more) sits.
Again, this subject was brought up over a comment made concerning PBS (on the CAL side).
I agree that come Sept on, PBS will be forced to give us more days off, which is a good thing.
I don't need more than 80 hours of pay to live comfortably and I agree that IF I want to make some more, I'll pick up an ADV trip afterwards.
It will be interesting to revisit this post/thread a year from today and to see what PBS is building us.
Till then!
Cheers~

AH-
I hear ya. But I have to admit, when I read the opening statement from your MC I was initially "insulted" too. Narrowbody Domestic Airline?!
But then I realized that your side, like my side.. has a job to do. That is to promote their airline and their pilot group, while pointing out the negatives of the other side.
Like it or not.
Nothing personal, just business.
I do disagree with the poster who doesn't believe this SLI is "negotiations".
Both sides will make their case and the arbitrators will then come up with something on their own taking into account everything they have heard, learned and known from past cases.
Most likely, they will take the CAL Proposed List, the UAL Proposed List.. and maybe see where they match, and then come up with their own proposal which will be the new list.
For the record, I was surprised at what I saw with regards to the SLI proposal and the bottom 37%.
I think we can all agree.. that's never gonna happen.
Hopefully it's "fair and equitable" for most pilots, and we can move forward once we have a list.
I have many friends who fly for LUAL. I understand where you and they are coming from.
I wasn't happy with the TA. I Voted NO. It passed. I accepted it and moved on.
I will learn it and now 'Fly The Contract' as it lets me.
When we get an SLI.. I will accept it and move forward.
I will see how much it changes my seniority and what affect it has on my future career. And I will adjust from there~
Someday we will all start flying together and have to get along better than we do on these message boards~
I'll always be willing to buy the first beer and BS, at the bar!
Always

Vote NO for the TA? I don't get it, do you really think we could have gotten more? I question if we can even sustain the new contract considering we just lost money for Q1....
Life can't get any better. I made $20k per month as a 756 FO thru March, now in upgrade training I get paid captain rates to sit in a class and drink coffee.
You would vote no for this?
