Did you earn fly and earn money at the company during that time? If you did, you should get profit sharing.

So, why do Delta pilots get profit sharing when they are on mil leave? I got B fund contributions, whats the difference?

Delta pilots also get longevity for time spent on furlough, thereby avoiding a painful and financially crippling double penalty that lasts for years.

Unfortunately we are not Delta - now pull up the damn ladder...

The company wanted to give profit sharing to all employees to save face and avoid embarrassing negative press. Company check airmen were telling our management that the airline would experience massive cancellations on feb 14, because CAL pilots would be sick en mass on profit sharing day if they were not included. It was just a decision to include ALL employee groups and not shaft the CAL pilot group from money that they earned, like ALL other United employees. Just a business decision on their part, no vast conspiracy. Would you as a CAL pilot have shown up to work when all other employees were handed profit sharing??? I wouldn't. They knew that, settled a grievance and moved on. You should move on too ......

Sorry moonbebeach but profit sharing was not part of your agreement like it was the rest of us. I doubt there would have been a massive sickout or some of the rest of your ranks would have just picked up the slack anyhow.

So your lca's have the pulse of the line pilots while they deadhead the system and they relay info back to the management ranks, come on give us a break.

Well their "business decision" was just shown to be in violation of the contract that they signed, and is going to end up costing them dearly. Why would you think that you "earned" profit sharing when it wasn't in your contract?

Once we're compensated - then maybe we'll move on.

That was one of the lame excuses your mc and mec was selling. You guys bit and Jeff had a grin. You guys got played. Nothing new for cal.
