I don't like the negative poke at C-130 drivers. I flew night combat missions tanking behind C-130s and those guys risked their lives to fuel aircraft and fly supplies into combat operations and still do.
Lets not insult people Larry. I know you're better than that.

Once the Sparky ditches (to put out the battery fire), the 76 can circle overhead before he ditches due to lack of fuel.
Then both crews can *****/fight about who's liferafts are bigger!

Total BS. UAL MEC didn't pout like a kid and say they wouldn't negotiate unless the other side agreed to their idiotic pay banding scheme. Sad part is if it doesn't help the CAL side with their SLI Ike they hoped we now get to get paid Narrowbody pay for flying a 757 and small wide body pay for flying a 747 and 777.
Fortunately the arbitrators have already indicated they'll use longevity as a major factor because that's the only evidence they went out and got on their own. They had to write a letter to management asking for accurate CAL mainline hiring dates and furlough and recall dates because the CAL side refused to provide it. Much like the CAL JCBA stall tactics. Oce they got that, they decided they didn't
Need the last two days of surrebuttals and the CAL side flipped out!
So I guess we will see.

Also with the difference in B-Plan contributions, UAL 777 paid more in straight pay than CAL. Not even counting benefits. Total compensation was more on the UAL side if you even read the exhibits. The arbitrators have them and I doubt they will care anyway that UAL had a higher compensation package overall.
That's not part of merger policy and I'll bet they aren't going to try to find a way to make a list based on that anyway.
