Hardly a hypocrite. My coment was about a ual guy complaining about not getting his 89 hrs. I never flew high when we had guys out, and referencing
another post, I thought the alpa position of high time not affecting staffing total BS.

United Airlines to ask Embraer to bid on planes

BRUSSELS | Wed Dec 9, 2009 12:40pm EST
Dec 9 (Reuters) - Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer (EMBR3.SA)(ERJ.N) will be invited to join a tender to supply narrow-bodied planes to United Airlines, the head of United's parent company UAL Corp UAUA.O said on Wednesday.

"We are going to go into the narrow-bodied (plane) market next year. We are going to invite Embraer into that competition," UAL Chief Executive Glenn Tilton said in an interview.

...

But I sure do enjoy the eye opening CAL maintenance. Thanks

Riddle me this. If everyone bids only min hours, what happens? The only way to force min hours is for management and the union to agree. Which is cheaper for management?

Was not directed towards you. Jaykris seems to believe he should rightfully credit 89 hours/month while many are furloughed. I if d that completely hypocritical given the lecture about CAL pilots.

Well if a CAL 67 Capt complained to me about not consistently crediting 89 hrs/month while people were furloughed, I would tell him/her that he/she is a greedy *insert explicitive*. Apparently you find this person's actions completely defensible. Can't wait for guys like you to teach me how to be a real union pilot...

How would you force everyone to fly 75 hours?

I'm neither accusing, defending, nor characterizing anyone's actions. You however, are eager to jump to conclusions about me when I asked a simple question.

I was consistently awarded 87.5 while 147 were furloughed from CAL. That was the max line value that could be splatted under Contract '02. Never flew more then my line value and tried to drop as much as possible. Most importantly months where I was awarded a line under 80 hours, as always I never picked up open time or JM to hit some magical line value in the upper 80's. Thus I fail to have empathy for anyone moaning about their lost 89 hour line value while UAL people are furloughed. I guess you do cause after all the union says its okay.

You are not answering the question by telling me your bidding and scheduling prowess. How would you force everyone to fly 75 hours?
