Default Difference between bid result and pbs numbers

I was wondering why there is such a big difference between the bid result and ccs/pbs/staffing numbers-

Looking at iah 756 fo: bid result shows 124 guys, ccs/staffing and pbs shows 219

Ewr 756 fo: bid shows 438, ccs/pbs shows 537

Pretty significant difference..

I count 40 numbers on the list that have doubles because of LTA,SUP, or RET but with the award list includes 30+ new names so it's almost a wash. I'd love to know what the difference means as well.

On the bids the numbers they staff to is for active pilots. Hence the doubles for people on long term leave or projected retirement.

The staffing and PBS reports show everyone who is in that status.

Yeah, even though the Vacancy Bid advertised an increase of 20 pilots (438 vs 418), we still have 537 in base (as of yesterday) for the EWR756FO.

I do think it might have something to do with the LTA, SUP, RET numbers but I'm not sure completely.

It really skews my percentage, thats for sure!
