Trying to figure out CCS awards for LAX. Trip L5904 shows a 14+ hour continuous duty LAX-OGG-LAX turn. THis trip shows as 904 in the pilot's line.
Trip L5033 shows the same 14+ hour OGG turn and shows up as 033 in the pilot's line.
SO....I assume this is an augmented trip, is the 3 digit trip the bunkie trip? ie. 904 is bunkie, 033 is fly guy?
Thanks,
Sled

Really do you care about a weight restricted flight? As long as you are not non rev, why do you care? I can care less, not our job to put an airplane on the route or not. As far as I am concerned, put the airplane on OGG, I love going there and will gladly do it, without my family trying to fly standby.

Forgive us. We're spoiled and are used to being able to get a FC seat on a 67 to Hawaii. That and a bit of professional pride in our company and its product. Non rev travel was one of the perks when I was hired. Now it's a bag of puke, just like the new el cheapo UAL.

I agree, I liked it more when we rode in first class and didn't have to check PBT's since most the flights were only half full!! Those days are gone forever!!

The augmented turns will go away in Jan because of 117; some gum acft will be modified with a compliant rest seat but the domestic NG's will not.
The (supposed) plan is for the sUA 763's to replace sCAL 752's on the longer European flying allowing those acft, along with the 753's, to replace most of the NG Hawaii flying.
Hopefully not to be replaced with more Mexico City or EWR red eyes for west coast guppy drivers.

What do you mean "why do you care"?? It's not just about YOU. Hawaii is one of THE go to spots for employees to try to take their families on vacation. Taking the stretch guppy out there means that on almost every flight we will be leaving our fellow employees and their families in the lurch. Not to mention, by augmenting the flight, you have now taken away the Jumpseat as an option for our commuters and pass traveling pilots as well as pilots from other airlines who graciously take us around the world on their airplanes. For a lot of other employee groups, the travel benefits are THE reason they work for the airlines. And Hawaii is THE place they want to use those benefits. And now that is being ruined by the bean counters who run this show.
