Didn't say I would show you any respect. Deep down you know the truth about the SLI. All of UAL do. Unfortunately you seem to be blinded by your career being back on track. Too bad it had to be "stolen" from one group and given to you.

Scott "That was the best thing they could have done for us. It was so far out of policy it will be completely disregarded." And it turns out that he was right. And the final ruling didn't come out for 4 months and the CAL side never changed their extreme stance, later claiming they weren't allotted enough time to change their position. LOL. |

I've been trying to get someone from CAL to articulate the positives of the CAL pilot culture... perhaps you can offer insight?

How about a Uhire, in this very thread: "The attitude on the CAL side is great. I don't hate coming to work every day like I did at UAL."

Do you really believe that? Direct your angst towards the real target that you should be focused on - your MEC, Pierce, Baron et al. Your MEC brought a ridiculous proposal to a table that wasn't a negotiation. It was an arbitration. To be honest, target #1 should be Brucia. #2 is Pierce. The funny thing is the arbs actually got it right - you just don't like it. It really is that simple. The entire future of ALPA depended on a fair outcome. They got one. This could not be Nic2. Your side proposed an outcome that was far worse than Nic1. Unreal.

Are you sure you weren't hired in 83?
So a guy who flew for say, three years or four years..... A guy who would have returned and matriculated to the the left seat of the largest airplane on the property......should go behind a guy with three months on the property? You funny guy! |
Wow, you think any of your furloughs would have flown left seat in a wide body. Don't forget your helmet when you leave the house, doctors orders. I probably do sound like an 83 higher. Unfortunate for you there is about 3000 others that sound just like me. I just hope I don't get the UAL silent treatment in the crew room, whatever would I do with myself.

Yes I do believe that. I will always blame ALPA. Pin is in the trash. Arbs did not get it right. A furloughed pilot should never go in front of an active employee. Period. And no pilot should be able to hold a new seat once the award is done. ALPA merger policy changed to cater to UAL, just because ALPA merger policy was followed(somewhat) doesn't mean the list is fair. You know it and so do I. Now I know the list will not change, but I am done with so called unity and done with anything ALPA. Strictly in it for myself, all decisions I make will be based on wether it helps me or not. Sad, used to not feel like that.

Flip it around and it sounds like former CAL guys at UAL in the 90s. The company flameouts simply happened in different decades. Your point?
