Wow, you think any of your furloughs would have flown left seat in a wide body.

Won't be able to soak up the sun much longer. All your whale pilots are jumping ship to come fly the guppy. Thought the goal of every UAL pilot was to fly the almighty "JUMBO". Guess that was just SLI propaganda. For having so much loyalty toward your company, I find it funny that y'all seem to like everything CAL. And before you go spewing den and lax. According to most of your theories, since we used to have bases there we are intitled.

Oh you mean those 5 on that last bid? They are simply maneuvering in for a shorter commute to their Asian girlfriends. Sorry. I agree with you there, that is frustrating.

And the three before that. All senior to me. Funny how a merger has actually made me go backwards in my scheduling power. But I guess that's fair.

Your lack of knowledge of how this industry works is stunning in its breadth and scope. Again, good luck as you clearly have no frame of reference if you actually believe that the CAL proposal would have flown. These were 3 neutral arb's that looked at both proposals and completely disregarded one. They disregarded the one that you clearly believe was fair. Scott |

The 5 is just in Guam. Are you not watching the vacancy bids. It won't happen overnight but all I see are UAL pilots bidding 737 ca. Thinking that will continue for years. You must really believe the bigger the better, but the bids are starting to show a different trend. Don't care who we merged with my position on SLI will always remain the same. Fair is fair whatever the situation is. |

The top 400 pilots on the UAL side were hired in 78 and 79. They were furloughed during their career. Care to guess what seats they are all sitting in now? Left seat. Wide body.

Your right We must have a higher than cba compliance. Still don't know why you are so proud of your culture. Seems to me your culture is fight with the company till both sides are miserable. I like that our union tries to work with the company, and the company with the union to create a sustainable company while providing a lucrative career. Maybe I should be more like UAL, scream and yell that everybody is stupid except for the pilots. Try and run the company. End up with a bunch of out of date "jumbos", all while tanking billions of dollars. Furlough a bunch of pilots merge with a descent company. Steal jobs and blame it on ALPA merger policy. Then sit back and say just tow the line we'll show you how it's done. UAL has some good guys, I have met them. By I wonder if some of y'all wear prescription helmets when you leave your houses
The UAL pilot culture isn't about being exploited by management. The CAL pilot culture is... CAL management has done such a good job that most pilots are oblivious to it... The problem you've created for yourself is trying to cram your perceptions/expectations, a square, into the round hole of reality... Constantly posting on this forum about how you've been wronged... like that is going to change reality.... you've chosen your own ground hog day to live... your choice... sucks to be you.... and married to you... if you are..... |

Fair is fair whatever the situation is. In my case, there are over 100 DEN based CAL Captains on the 737. I couldn't bid it, yet the junior pilot on that is almost 4000 numbers junior to me. On the last bid, I didn't hold it by 700 numbers, as UAL pilots finally had access to those positions. Was CAL going to open a Den base pre-merger? LAX? So you're ****ed about a handful of UAL pilots migrating above you in GUM, while literally hundreds of Cap bids were handed out pre-SLI in UAL bases to CAL pilots that should have never held them. You can both thank Pierce/Brucia but also make sure you hate them for what they did to this merger. Their fingerprints are all over it. Scott |

You're right. For you, it is only going to get worse. As UCH adds Guppies, parks 757's and generally expands into UAL bases, UAL pilots are going to bid them and also into your base. Did you expect otherwise?
