Yes, but not to all 4 islands multiple flights daily from LAX and SFO. And LAX-PVG CAL didn't have route authority to do that flying. Nor did it have a base in LAX or SFO for the last 20 years.

Doesn't matter now because the SLI is done I can bid that flying if I want so its all UAL flying again!!!!!

Great, we can all fly to PVG together!

Are you really going to let this eat you alive between now and then? Be deliberately hostile to some other pilots because of an arbitrated result for years to come? Sounds like unnecessary stress and wasted effort.

I agree with this. I roll my eyes when I run into CAL guys who will retire in the top 100 screaming bloody murder on the SLI. Move on from SLI. And move on from discussions of 'culture' superiority. Guess what, we both sucked.

That's not so funny. What's humorous is the delusion you seem to have that United (pre-merger) could control anything that happened around them. Would UAL have let CAL fly LAX to HNL? Yes, just like they LET SWA take over Denver, AMR run them out of MIA, Virgin invade SFO, DAL expand in LAX, and AerLingues fly to Europe.

Seriously?

They are superior!!! None of that matters, it was all done for the merger, or Barons and JP's fault. None of that would have happen if it were not for the battle they had to fight on two fronts.

We would ALL have gotten a much better contract had that not been the case. Jay Delay and the CAL tactics made this unpalatable agreement acceptable to a whole bunch of peeps who wouldn't have voted for it otherwise.

Yes but probably only the FOs will be going out for drinks together since the Captains are probably all scabs.

Agree completely. The law of unintended consequences.

AND the logic behind the delay, was flawed from the start. One need look no further than the ISL. So we accepted a concessionary contract full of Easter Eggs for El Heffe.

Of course, you'd actually have to read the thing, and ALPA policy, and have some sort of historical perspective, and the ability to connect dots, etc etc etc to figure this all out. But hey, we'll get em next time! Right.

Doubtful... MGT always has a reason why you must vote yes. We will fall for it again. It is always someone fault besides the guy who voted yes.

Agreed. And to think that Jeff Sismek had the check book and pen in hand for 3.5 years! Really a shame the poor guy had to wait so long cause of Devil Horn Jay Pierce.
