It's tempting, but I'm not buying it. We collect a paycheck, there are certain responsibilities associated with doing that. Wearing the uniform as proscribed is one.

I totally get your frustration - I feel it too.

So what's the deal, you have to wear either the leather jacket or the blazer, and only the hat with the blazer? So in the summer (when obviously no one would wear the leather) everyone has to wear the blazer with the hat?

And as far as different STYLE of uniforms, thats not what I was talking about- they were issued by the Company. Finally, if you don't think the Pax care about how you look I think you're living under a rock! ALL the group of my Friends/Business Men in my group (2 of them are 1K frequent flyers) talk about their flying experience!! What the plane looks like old or new, how the Crew looks both physically and dressed! Is this profiling, ABSOLUTELY! As far as the safety aspect, I along with you wish this drove more flying choices. Unfortunately, I don't think this crosses their mind that often otherwise, many Asian/African carriers would be out of business. They just look at the A/C, the crew and the food and see's how much it's going to cost them! They expect safety for FREE!;)

Never said it. We had at least 5 or 6 different uniforms in the "nav" and we still looked professional wearing different uniforms.

Plus they were much higher quality than the Wal-Mart uniforms we have now that I won't wear. Tie and epaulettes. That's it.

No read the FOM 1-80 to be exact. I will give the guys credit for a very loose interpretation however. Very nice.

Are hats required?

Read pg 1-80 in the admin chapter and decide for yourself. It pretty clearly written.

I know, I know Hoss. I'm just extremely fed up with this place. Each id is a head scratcher. I'm thinking it really can't get any worse.

Cal doesn't have a monopoly on that market. You ever seen the dude who essentially lives in the basement at Dulles?
