New Vacancy Bid

Thanks, LJ. We'll see what shakes out in the upcoming class assignments, hopefully there will still be a balance of 73/320s in the mix to preserve having options other than "EWR for 5-7 years" for some of us in the pool. In fact, we'll be like carnies in Indoc on day one looking around the room and pondering each other's age. This looks familiar - timing, timing, good luck and timing...

Its crazy how the slots change. I just got hired 6 months ago and all my class and the classes around me were all EWR/IAH 737. Im just happy to be here as well, just hit 30, and hoping to experience bigger metal as retirements pick up. For now the 737 is a great airplane, fun to fly, and I should hopefully have a line in the next 2-3 months. Cant beat that!

Actually, we're a hoot. You're missing the point.
Many in the "I'm just glad to be here crowd" will sign the first company offer in contract negotiations. We need more guys with starch and gristle.

Mako,
I love almost all your post and would love to hang out with you without a doubt.
The other point is that we have a bunch of new hires that really are excited about being here. We don't need to rain on their parade. Let them be happy and enjoy their place in time. Most posts on these forums turn into ****ing matches between the two groups and/or we have to "educate" the young pups with life sucks and blah blah. See it in the Marines all the time. Let them experince and when the hard times come they'll turn to the real leaders and we can direct them and they will follow.
