Inb4 RJPilots useless troll post. I predict a sarcastic comment on upgrade time.
Don't forget there is almost a 2 year gap between 2008 and 2010. Once we get to 2008 upgrade times will drop a year or two between bids

But we will never get to upgrade guys in 2008 because all airplanes will be gone soon according to RJ, and I believe we sent 20 pilots to AA today.

The only people saying there is doom and gloom are a couple anonymous people on an internet forum. When I ask the people in the know, the future looks fine.

No one is saying there won't be upgrades, I've been saying there won't be many due to the shrinking fleet. You can see what the plan for the future is by how few new hires we've been getting. Don't you think the company would be hiring more than 12 a month if they truly expected to replace every captain that leaves?

Would you guys consider Eagle to be a good move right now? Given the vacancies listed above, how long would a NY CRJ FO be on reserve? Looking at an upgrade next year at Silver(commuting to IAD), but I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have a job here in a year (this place is in trouble). I live on Long Island so the NY co-base is a HUGE plus... All the other airlines with Ny bases aren't very appetizing: Republic is Republic, I'm a little skeptical about XJT, and AWAC has an uncertain future (at least in my opinion). Just looking for a place to get comfy for a few years, log some time in a jet, then see what this whole "pilot shortage" thing is about Jump to 2016/2017, you think TPIC is still going to be the deal breaker? I know that's the million dollar question......sorry for the hijack.
