This is the stupidest thread in the history of forums.

The only problem with the new uniform is that it took so long for management to decide what it should look like. Just think of the hundreds of man hours wasted on choosing between blue and black, silver and good, thin or thick stripes. I would bet well over one million was spent on "designing" this uniform. That money and effort would have been better spent on planning for far117 implementation or Ccs. Any uniform could have been designed over lunch with a couple drinks.

The uniform works. It's not the best and it's not the worst. It suits the purpose of telling the passengers who is controlling the plane. In my opinion, neither the l-cal nor l-ual uniforms garnered any respect on their own accord. Rather the pilot wearing the uniform gained or lost the respect of their crew and passengers based upon their own actions.

Ive never seen a guy with his old UA wings, but I've seen about twenty slick ties on my current trip. Which is more troubling?

Quote: You better realize times are different. Again, scabs are scums of the earth, but in today's day and age, you will find yourself in front of HR or worse asap, most likely termination if you/we try and treat them like they did in the "old days."
You're gonna like the new United!!
Oh, I think there are plenty of ways to treat scabs with the level of respect that they deserve, just like the old days.

Exactly! I sweat things like, when is my next pay raise, when is the contract gonna get signed but to waste any more time on what the brass looks like is, well, trite. Make sure my paycheck gets deposited on time and I'll wear a hat and any uniform you want me to wear.

We judge the masses based on a few A$&&&. This industry is comical at times between mgmt and our own pilot group.

Quote: Well the old continental belt looked much better the ual belt. The continental belt was classy, unique and vastly superior. There is no reason to be offended by that. That doesn't mean that cal was a superior airline or pilot group. Plus I also said the ual air sick bags were better than the cal ones anyways.
I can see you tried to make sense, but you didn't actually make a point either way about anything.

Back to the issue though…are you honestly saying that solid gold chrome plated bling that would make Flav-O-Flav blush is actually a better look than the old UAL wings?

Ah hope or stellar, Carlos or whomever you keep renaming yourself due to being banned. I am not a mgmt pilot or anything else but keep hoping.

My point is that there are some that act like kids in their post( hope you are one) and others retort or retaliate the same childish way. If you wear your old wings then all will wear mine. In addition mgmt ask for Dr. notes when we call in sick. It's all sad but comical. If you read just these forums you would think this all is company-wide. However, most of us common sense adults see all of this for what it is.

Anyone care to chime in on this one?

I don't know FBN - you come on the forum quoting the happenings at Willis Tower as if on the inside track and expect not to be taken as a company man. I may not be as polished as you are but I'm still able to smell a rat now and then. It's unfortunate that you choose to name call and try to discredit others for your own gain. Where you part of the group that discredited JP the same way? If you did I commend you but keep in mind I hold no elected ALPA position nor am I a company STOOGE.
