Default Recurrent Training Bid

I was notified through CCS to bid for my recurrent sim in July. So I went into the training section and looked at what was available. Does anyone know why all of the dates listed (June 30-July31) have 0 (zero) slots available for any of the periods?

Doesn't seem right.
but...
But bid for what you want. No more.
You are probably bidding for your early month. You are probably due in August and will go non-qual after September. You have two more months to complete CQMVLOE. My suggestion is to not have a recurrent training cycle ruin your July bid unless you are on reserve and are hoping to get a line from having the training absence on your schedule. (of course this is a gamble that doesnt always play out the way you expect).
The worst case scenario is you end up being assigned a recurrent training slot in September to keep you qualified.
Enjoy the summer time that you have away from work.

relax
have a beer.

There is a near zero chance of going in your early month, not much better in your due month. This is the first time in 16 years I've gone in my grace month.

My guess would be that all of the "United North" guys are at it again.

Several have called in sick repeatedly and have then taken impromptu trips to Cabo. Forget about what the contract says, these guys were responsible to schedule themselves for their training (and its completion) in a timely fashion, irrespective of whatever the training lady is doing this week. My Mint.....what the golly is that?

Others have called in fatigued after taking long languorous naps. It is rumored that they then went to Hawaii to compete in the Ironman. Some stayed out west to perform missionary work with homeless, lithe young Polynesian Princesses. When they will avail themselves for training is anyones guess. Perhaps they will show up for some of that rumored instructorless sim time in MIA? Clearly this is something for us all to be upset about. The nerve!

Some of the more resourceful have have scheduled brain surgery for their patients. After all, Brain Surgeons are in short supply and the pay is pretty decent.

I'm sure that the rest have just done their level best to sabotage the entire airline and are ruining everything for everybody. They have used their ALPA engineered ISL windfall to destroy the Taco Bus Lady's livelihood. My guess is that about 95 percent of the 600M loss can be laid directly at their feet. The rest of the loss we can just blame on the weather.

Grace month is July, CCS shows no slots. Bid for May and June(due month) with no award. I put in a July bid anyway just in case. Several buddies, one a Sept hire, are going to training in June. Weird.

Same here. June is grace month, got awarded 2-4, then was removed after monthly schedule preferencing. No word so far on rescheduling it.

Got a notice on CCS to bid for early month. Got nada. Never heard again but got notices of sim expiring. Apparently on 9 new month schedule, where my crashpad mates who completed IOE before me are not. Emailed training to have a paper trail showing effort to avoid dropping dead. Got a CCS message scheduling me for sim right as qual expired. No bid.

Not playing around on probation.

YMMV.

Seriously, even on probation, I would not worry about this. It is UAL's responsibility to schedule training. Once again, surprise, it doesn't seem to be working as well as it used to.

I would enjoy some paid time off at home when you go non-current. I am currently on a 3 week, paid, unplanned vacation for exactly this, non-current due to lack of PC. I suspected more people would be in my sinking boat and now have proof. Just keep all your documentation.

Again, enjoy the time off, and I would file an ALPA PDR.
