And yet you don't hear of CAL guys trying to bait and purposely irritate the UAL ones with sophomoric digs. The enemy is Jeffy, focus people.

Every airline has nicknames for certain planes.

My buddy at SWA has an email address that contains the word "guppy".

So…you're wrong.

I think it's just an unnecessary inferiority complex the LCAL guys have since most of their flying was on the 737. They get their feelings hurt when their 737-900ER is called a guppy.

GMAB.

Airplane nicknames have been around since the beginning.

Get on board and have some fun with it.:D

Yeah, it's a real hoot.

I have multiple peers at SWA from the mil, along with Dal and AA, not one calls the 73 a guppy.

My feelings are far from hurt my friend...you are free to play your reindeer games. I just think it sounds ridiculous. My 2 cents only untied.

I offered the guy my guidelines on airline success and sanity. It's just a job...who cares.

New hires - on a lighter note...if you need some PBS help, PM me.

And yet I've posted several unity post and I get the same results. You guys seem to be willing to defend Jeff because your ego is somehow threatened. Jeff is the enemy of our careers and in no way the savior of the CAL way of life.

I know the displacements and bumps have mostly CAL guys agitated but it was Jeff and his merry band that created the situation not the UAL pilots. It's an alignment of seniority which should have begun on day 1 instead of 3 years past.

As far as your remarks of just UAL guys engaged in the "sophomoric digs" go back and look at some of your own post as well as Probe's and CALFO's As far as the hate and resentment, go into any crew room, flight planning area or even the hotel pick up point, you can tell which airline the guy comes from by the sour face even though we wear the same uniform. Is that the fault of the UAL side?

scrappy is the forum preacher reminding everybody how to act correctly (according to him). Just ignore the little guy.

Since the term "Guppy" is a hurtful to some of our wee widdle pywot's feelings. I order that we rename the 737-900 from "Super Guppy" to the "NeoSaur". Since it's a new airplane that performs slightly worse than a 1959 model B-707, "NeoSaur" is a very fitting name.

I decree, on this day as self appointed Lord of airplane nicknames and thereby De facto boss of Scrappy, the previous constable and monitor of all things aviation nickname, that the 737-900 shall be called the "NeoSaur" so it is said, so it shall be on this day of 26 July in the year of our lord, 2014.

SO THERE!!

Got in a guppy last night and all of the yellow Jepp tabs for the legacy United hubs had been removed and the legacy Cal hubs remained. I've seen this a half a dozen times.

Your unity posts are anything but. All I have read in here from you is Cal bashing. If you really want unity...stop posting. BTW I am pretty sure Probe is L-UAL.
