You mean just like the B & C plan, profit sharing, LTD, and any other contractual benefit that UAL pilots have? Maybe the sky IS falling.

The B and C fund is mine for the managing, as in the profit sharing when I get it. Once in my account, it is mine to do with as I please investment wise.

I am referring to a little bitty thing called the A fund. Managed by the company and monitored by the union. GONE!!!!!

I don't want an RHA unless the money is controlled and managed by ME.

Got it, you don't want an additional tax deferral vehicle and would prefer to pay taxes on contributions in excess of the 415 limits. Fortunately, you're not in the majority but have fun storming the castle as UAL pilots start contract audits for contract 2017.

Just to add, I lost my A Fund as well & trust UA less now than I did then. I get the skepticism, but the RHA is a benefit that I prefer to keep. Regarding UA & ALPA, each of the benefit plans mentioned above still have oversight and direction from both entities (despite the account having your name on it).

I am over the A plan, it is water under the bridge. My point is I don't want to put more money under the same bridge. While the company does have oversight of my Schwab account, I get to decide how to invest it.

I was on voluntary furlough and transferred all of my money out of Jack Russell except for 11,000, which I was required to keep in there. Due to their ineptness, I was required to send them a sizable check, twice, to get the balance back to 11,000.

I want as little money of mine as possible under UAL or ALPA stewardship.

Jack Russell was a friend of Rick Dubinsky.

Lets see, in chronological order:

1. ESOP stock. Gone
2. A fund. Gone
3. 550 million note. YGBFSM
4. Bankruptcy claim sale. ??????

I believe history is on my side.

History may be on your side, but some of us sold our claim in the sale and others(I did) had the foresight to divorce their wives, collect half of their esop shares to "pay their wives off" in the divorce settlement and then re-marry their wife.(I didn't)

Ah I might be missing some irony, but how much does Jack Russell charge to manage your retirement?

I have had a Schwab account for 30 years. They have never let me down. I don't believe their name ever came up in the news during the financial crisis.
