Default Feb 17th Class

Got the call yesterday for the Feb 17 new hire class in Denver! I'm thrilled to be finally coming to United!

I was told 22 in class with 18 of those new hires. Assignments are all EWR with 10-756, 5-73, and 5-A320.

I'm 31 and will be bidding EWR 73 first. Not sure yet what my second choice will be.

Anyone else in this class?

At 31 I'll be shocked if you get a choice! let alone a second choice! welcome aboard and congrats it's great here for a young guy. I'll see you in EWR on the 756 and I'll by the beer over in Europe.

So when I go to class in late March or April at age 32 I should plan to be the 8 Ball or damn near most junior?

United dosen't use last four digits of your SSN to determine class
seniority anymore?

I recently heard they are possibly going in sequential order from interview date to fill classes. If you interviewed on Monday first week of Jan, then you would get into class prior to the guy who interviewed on Friday. Not sure if that is true or not. As far as seniority once your in class seniority goes by age.

Good to know! From what I have read the 756 is getting filled up pretty good from Jan-Mar. Does anyone have any speculation as to when that fleet will be "staffed" with new hires and the demand turns back to 737/A320?

The 756 in EWR is a great assignment. It s the one assignment where you can break mpg and have a great QOL as a reserve.

If one commutes from out West AND you had a choice between the 756/Bus/737 what would be the best bet for QOL? Thanks!
