Oddly, that provision is in addition to the provision allowing you to bid between bases in your frozen equipment so one assumption could be that you could bid different equipment in that new base.
Yes. The company can always do this. But I know a person that came back from a leave as an Airbus FO then took a Guppy bid for seniority. Then about 6 months later tried to bid 767 and didn't even show up on the snapshot. They told him he was on a bidding freeze.

Agreed. The company holds all the cards. Be prepared to sit in that aircraft for 24 months if you incur a bidding freeze.

I don't know if this happened to the missus as the Pilot Service center never responded to our emails before we pulled her bid, but she was a 320 F/O voluntary that returned to the Guppy for seniority. When she put a bid in last fall for the ORD 777, she never once appeared on the daily snapshot PDF even though guys 1000 number junior were there.

Hmmmmm

I would say I am not negative, just pragmatic. Other opinions may differ.

I hope we grow the mainline. I just don't see it right now.
So, mainline block hours are increasing, we have a net gain of 20+ mainline jets YE2015, we are hiring 100 per month for the foreseeable future, and UAX is shrinking by 60+ airframes YE2015. What don't you see?
