To further add to this, Section 8-D-2 (Bidding Freeze) covers this. The language, however, uses the phrase "may be ineligible" so it looks like the company can unilaterally remove the freeze if they see fit. A bidding freeze does not preclude you from upgrading in your current "frozen" equipment or bidding the same equipment in a different base.. Also, there is a provision allowing you to bid a new base. Oddly, that provision is in addition to the provision allowing you to bid between bases in your frozen equipment so one assumption could be that you could bid different equipment in that new base.

I have been an airline pilot for 20 years. I have been adversely affected by 3 furloughs during that time. Never furloughed other than voluntarily.
I would say I am not negative, just pragmatic. Other opinions may differ.
I hope we grow the mainline. I just don't see it right now.
