Are you in the 7 July class or do you have a later class date?

I commuted out of TUS prior to moving recently. Very challenging with mainly RJs and a large population of commuters. Be ready for many trips up to PHX...where it is challenging as well.

Well, did my TAP brief with military yesterday. Strange to do it in civilian clothes. Looks like I have three more working days to wrap things up there.

Can't wait to learn what the next few years will be like.

Still wish we had a better idea on class dates. You guys said 1st day mock aircraft select. 2nd day we actually pick what we want. And somewhere in the second week we'll get our SIMs scheduled.

I had heard several posts about a wait time between indoc and aircraft classes (SIMs). I also heard class size is dropping a bit for the summer, from 26 to 20ish? Wonder what that will mean for classes?

That's changed, mock bid and live bid are now on day 1.

Really?? No time given to see what the drop is and think about it. As of last summer is was on the second day. If you're in your 40s don't get too excited. There very well could be some 50 something's in your class. Good luck!

Just finished basic indoc (BI). I can confirm that mock and real bids are now day 1. Found out bases when we showed up then did a mock bid. The actual bid was in the afternoon. as far as time between BI and aircraft training my class had anywhere from 3 days to 20+ days in between.

What aircraft and bases were available?

IAH would be the easiest commute right now (live in OKC), but it sounds like that probably won't happen out of training. I'll probably try for 73 or 320 to have some flexibility when I can move west. My long term goal is to get to LAX so I can move back to the west coast.
