The 76T fleet is not available for bidding or displacing into going foreword. All 76T pilots will be BATed over to 756. New hires will not get drops into 76T. Only 737,320, & 756.

What type of flying can one expect out of SFO or ORD in the 756?

From SFO: KOA, OGG, HNL, and hub to hub. Thats it. Not sure about ORD, probably just hub to hub.

rumor is no more 756 bids for new hires and all will go to 737 and 320 starting in September… but heard that only from a couple pilots that just came back from a PC at TK… take it for what its worth. 756/76T has always been a little more senior on west coast then the narrow bodies… so probably take a few vacancy bids after getting hired to be senior enough to be the bottom reserve… then you wait 3-4 months to start training once awarded.

I honestly have no idea, there is a decent amount of people stuck in EWR still trying to get into SFO. We'll know in a few weeks when the bid comes out.

They really have to "freeze" anyone from taking new FO positions on the 756 until they fully get it all as one equipment type. Too much training, staffing, re-training, re-staffing going on for them to put new guys on the jet. Once they get it staffed, they may take a look at it, but they may be overstaffed for the next 2 bids is what I am hearing, but that isn't enough to displace anyone. They just need to combine the 76T and 756 and get it done.

Agree... But think the transition is going to drag out for awhile...

I think out of ORD what you will see is the 76T airframes getting made into 756 airframes, and the flying transitioning over as that happens.

So, over this winter you will see the 76T base shrink and disappear and a like sized 756 base grow in its place.

Right now out of ORD the 76T folks fly to LHR several times a day (3 for most of the year, but sometimes 1 of them is upguaged in the summer to a 777) they also fly to AMS. In the winter they have historically gotten MUC, CDG, and BRU back from the 777 as well.

I would suspect that the base will actually be slightly larger than what you see on the 76T right now as the total amount of the flying will become more stable on a monthly basis. You will have MUC,CDG,BRU and 3 LHRs during the winter and then in the summer when some of those get upguaged, you will get the seasonal flying of EDI, SNN, etc to balance it out.
