Does the 747 fence stay up then or not?
All fences are up until 5 yrs or number 25 (which gets here Nov/Dec) This bid has FO slots that went unbid by sCAL FOs so all the unfilled positions are opened up to all pilots in seniority order, but only the unfilled positions.

LCAL gets preference on 787 and LUAL on the 747… if any vacancies go unfilled (i.e., not enough legacy pilots put in for them) ALL pilots can be awarded them… even before the 25th delivery. thats why the snapshot shows the legacy LUAL pilots on the bottom of the list and with an asterisk… but once awarded there system seniority stays intact for schedule bids.

I know my opinion means nothing but:

"It sure is. And with our increasingly unified pilot group, it will also be great when we are again begging for pennies on the dollar on the retro pay in 2020. "

We would still be negotiating the present contract, not 2020.
Hiring to the sCAL side and furloughing to the sUAL.

Instead the blog is fighting over 787/747 bids. That is progress.

The difference is the flight attendants don't want a contract.

Ok, I guess it's time for a lecture on how we need to wear those silly little ALPA wings that you clowns think are so precious. Unified pilot group? Not in my lifetime as long as crap like this is the prevalent thought from your legacy group.
