My wish list:
Sh#tcan the current POS of a PBS system.
A trip should be worth a minimum day credit for EACH day. Not an average of. I also understand that this is problematic because it requires the Company to carry extra pilots. But that's not our problem, it's the cost of doing business.
There should be a structure for RSV shortcalls. They should have shortcalls at specific times so they just can't make up shortcalls as the day progresses. I've seen them do this in SFO.
The ability of the crew desk to roll days off should be severely limited, if not completely eliminated. We work to live, not live to work!
My biggest issue and an automatic "no" vote is ABSOLUTELY NO CONCESSIONS with regard to Scope. I'd actually like to see get some of it back with language to reflect the current staffing issues at our Regional Partners. Obviously, no gives on JV or codeshares.
Vacation and sick days should be worth a minimum day credit.

What I understand, you want to be protected by 5 hours per day, and get paid on top of that, for overs on your single leg that was scheduled at 2 hours, but you flew 4 hours; (an extra 2 hours of pay on top of 5 hours total of 7 hours), is that correct?
May your wish be granted; I would love that too; however, I'm more realistic , put it in the survey.

I'd like to have my schedule at least a week earlier.
I'd like to bid for vacation year JAN-DEC (calendar year)
No gives on scope, jv or otherwise
85 hours be the new max pbs line construction level but waive-able to the variable max of ~90 if desired.
I'd like to see more pbs credit for vacation
Some deterrent to the company to avoid superfluous displacements (1 GUM captain & 1 GUM first. ) ****
I'd like to see better training pay.
I'd like to see us adequately staffed year round.
Global reserve needs fewer rollable days.
Hey a guy can dream.

As I understand; UPA protects you with 5 hours of pay for each day, and any overs per day; (over 5 hours you get paid extra).

I do understand the overs that we currently get paid on top of what the daily credit is. But in my anecdotal experience of just over a year, so it's not a large sampling, I rarely get any overs because they over block the flight so much. I think that you would make more money per trip and would have at least another day off per month because the credit would be higher per trip. I've had trips that if they were 5 hours/day, the trip would have been worth another 4-5 hours of credit. The huge stumbling block is that we are currently understaffed and this would exacerbate the current issue. I did put it on the survey also.

How about this....
If we MUST have field standby (which I'm not suggesting we should), then the 4 hours of sitting there should count towards your monthly credit. I get up, get dressed in the uniform, drive however long to the airport, and am there ready to go at a moment's notice, then I should get 2 hours of pay credit. 2:1 duty. I'm not saying this goes ABOVE reserve guarantee, but credits towards that like a trip assignment does. In some months, it would have helped me go over guarantee.
Its one thing to sit at home out of uniform on short call, but if you are expected to go to the airport, you should credit duty time and duty rig.
