Nothing new here, including those who write:
POS, fix what's wrong with the contract, and we can get more.
Ok brain surgeons why is it a POS, what needs to be fixed and how much more do you think we can get?
Stating hyperbole is nothing but a tactic when providing real info is difficult.

3. While the CS100 promises to be a great plane, aren't they at least a year or two away from any potential deliveries? And, there is the fear these planes may drive Bombardier to bankruptcy...how would we get parts?
Certified by the Canadian CAA few days ago FAA and EASA next and Lufthansa is getting the first deliveries mid 2016 for their Swiss subsidiary !
Still, they have at least 243 orders on the books. Assuming a production of 10 a month, ramping up to 20 (ambitious, this early in a program that is a completely new scheme for Bombardier), would mean at least a couple of years.
Unless some of those orders are for a holding company that would lease them to us.

1) Not all of the orders are packed into the available delivery slots
2) The North America "launch" customer (Republic) desperately needs to cancel their order. Although they ordered the CS300, would Bombardier build CS100s for UAL (or anybody else) in those slots instead? I'm thinking yes.

Shooting from the hip here, but I'd guess yes too. I don't think it's often difficult to "up or down gage" an order unless it conflicts w/ assembly line or build location and Bombardier is just getting things rolling and is probably pretty motivated to avoid losing an order for lack of flexibility.

Do the ALPA National guys get pay based on the highest contractual pay rates, or the highest pay rates that are actually flown?
