Hmmm...I'm a narrow body Captain on reserve at SFO. It's not too bad here, either. I'm sure that I could always find something that isn't perfect and complain about it, but life is too short to be unhappy. Things are soooo much better than they used to be.

Humorous to be sure. But primarily your post is just snarky and condescending. When there's an issue of the contract which you feel could be improved upon, please post up and allow your fellow pilots to pillory it and ridicule you.

The thread is titled "fixes to reserve". Perhaps it would be useful for us to come up with some ideas that could be implemented the next time the opportunity arises?

He's been an airline pilot for like 2-3 years now. He has it all figured out. It's the best airline he's ever worked for. Reminds me of the mil guys at JetBlue.

The FSB system is unacceptable.

There needs to be add pay associated with it if they don't fly you.

Driving to the airport to sit for four hours for no pay is UNSAT.

depending on where you live you could end up four hours on the road, plus four hours at the airport for an 8 hour day for no pay. seriously.....this AFU.

If they fly you, you'll at least get a five hour minimum associated to your line value. That's something. I would say 2 hours of add pay is fair for the pilot if they don't fly you.

Disclaimer: Only have been an airline pilot 2-3 years.

FSB and SC Conversion need to be metric driven and transparent. The metric needs to be agreed to by Company and Alpa and monitored by System Schedule Committee. All Unused FSB need to be paid, but doing that could change the priority of calling out FSBs over short calls. OK with me but others can weigh in. All SC after 2 need to be paid, voluntary conversions or company conversion.

Sounds like a perfect job for our new MEC/NC. This could be done by an LOA. Along with Current Contract Enforcement and LCAL LTD refund issues, this will tell us if we should have trusted these folks getting elected this week to handle a full Section 6, and set expectations for when they do.
